Just get more than one opinion. I didn't have my knee replaced but I had surgery where theyused titanium plates and screws and it did not work out as nice as the doc said it would. I knew I should have got up and ran like hell as soon as I saw the cordless drill on the tray with a lot of other shit when I was rolled into the freezing operating room.
