Minimum wage comparisons are meaningless unless related to the cost-of-living in each region.

For example, if you determine the number of hours it takes to buy 20 gallons of gas (at minimum wage), the ratio would be about even among the developed nations.

Big mac index might be a good one to use too.

NZ Benz is right!

Surprisingly the Big Mac index appears to be one the the most accurate indexs of costs v wages.

But I'm not an economist so what would I know, except they all taste like shit, no matter where in the world you eat one.

alright, how many of you are actually happy with your pay? Are you happy with your choosen profession?

Personally, i was happy with my pay, until right now, trying to get a second investment property going and STRESSED as hell about cashflow and dealing with the solicitor/banks/builders/agents/all those middlemen...i'm actually taking a break from hours of number crunching, need to vent off some stress on this forum and have a chat to you guys...Sux being a sucker with a regular job, wish i was smart enough to be a businessmen or property developer etc...

As with the job i like it, i don't LOVE it...i don't hate getting out of bed every morning like i did at highschool...if i could do it all over again i'd be a chef..

anyway enough bout me, how bout you guys?

I'd like to try her steak someday, marinated in her own very special way:

"Thanks, Cotton, it should. I warmed it up downtown today, in my own little oven."
