Once again, you appear to be suffering from selective memory and a tendency to jump to your tired, troop abusing logic when ever the subject of troops appears. Suggesting troops do or do not like killing Iraqis to comply with a political policy they are duty-bound to support, is not even remotely troop bashing. However, the mere mention of troops and you feel obligated to tell us all how much they enjoy being sent to Iraq to kill strangers they can't tell are the enemy or a local resident minding his own, and anyone who would suggest otherwise is against the troops. Pure knee-jerk, paint it black or white only, over simplification for the purpose of obfuscation logic.
Who really cares how many troops feel one way or the other? What difference does it make? How is suggesting some don't agree with the policy, yet do their duty, being against the troops? It isn't. But for some reason you like using the troops to promote your political agenda. That is the very essence of being anti-troops - you don't allow them to be anthing more than pawns in a politically motivated argument.
I support the troops because they support America. The present policy has our troops in harm's way for reasons that do not support America, when America is being threatened by the likes of Iran, North Korea, Pakistan and who knows where else, when Iraq never posed a genuine threat. That same source of policy making has implemented a war fighting policy that is sapping our strength, wearing the troops out, subjecting them to serious dangers without a clear mission - all while other dangers mount that we may not be able to respond to effectively without fresh equipment and fresh, trained troops to defend us.
Keep policy in your sights and stop abusing troops to make points for your political agenda. Please. Jim
