Get real Jakarta. The temperatures and CO2 levels are orders of magnitude out of the natural cycle.

The ONLY bad thing about Bush being ousted as President & something many are overlooking is that CHENEY will take over.

Do we REALLY want that?

I would much rather have Arnold S. sitting in the oval office then Cheney.

We are going from a monkey to a jackass. I do not know what is worse.

BTW, I DID NOT vote for Bush.
I find it also funny that he has a miserable rating & ALOT of peopel are now against the war. SO we have ALOT of people that were for the war & now are against it.

Isn't that "flip-flopping"? So we have a bunch of hypritical ass'. They say Kerry was a flip-flopper & didnt vote for him as pres because of that(amungst a few other things. But flip-flopping on the war was the big issue ). Now they themselves are flip-floppers....hummm...funny.

"Oh, but Bush lied to us"...oh bulls**t. It just goes to show how many stupid & gulliable people we have in the country that take everything at face valve. It is very disturbing.

Two New Books Confirm Global Warming is Natural; Not Caused By Human Activity
Tue Jan 30 2007 10:02:32 ET

Two powerful new books say today’s global warming is due not to human activity but primarily to a long, moderate solar-linked cycle. Unstoppable Global Warming Every 1500 Years, by physicist Fred Singer and economist Dennis Avery was released just before Christmas. The Chilling Stars: A New Theory of Climate Change, by Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark and former BBC science writer Nigel Calder (Icon Books), is due out in March.

Singer and Avery note that most of the earth’s recent warming occurred before 1940, and thus before much human-emitted CO2. Moreover, physical evidence shows 600 moderate warmings in the earth’s last million years. The evidence ranges from ancient Nile flood records, Chinese court documents and Roman wine grapes to modern spectral analysis of polar ice cores, deep seabed sediments, and layered cave stalagmites.

Unstoppable Global Warming shows the earth’s temperatures following variations in solar intensity through centuries of sunspot records, and finds cycles of sun-linked isotopes in ice and tree rings. The book cites the work of Svensmark, who says cosmic rays vary the earth’s temperatures by creating more or fewer of the low, wet clouds that cool the earth. It notes that global climate models can’t accurately register cloud effects.

The Chilling Stars relates how Svensmark’s team mimicked the chemistry of earth’s atmosphere, by putting realistic mixtures of atmospheric gases into a large reaction chamber, with ultraviolet light as a stand-in for the sun. When they turned on the UV, microscopic droplets—cloud seeds—started floating through the chamber.

“We were amazed by the speed and efficiency with which the electrons [generated by cosmic rays] do their work of creating the building blocks for the cloud condensation nuclei,” says Svensmark.

The Chilling Stars documents how cosmic rays amplify small changes in the sun’s irradiance fourfold, creating 1-2 degree C cycles in earth’s temperatures: Cosmic rays continually slam into the earth’s atmosphere from outer space, creating ion clusters that become seeds for small droplets of water and sulfuric acid. The droplets then form the low, wet clouds that reflect solar energy back into space. When the sun is more active, it shields the earth from some of the rays, clouds wane, and the planet warms.

Unstoppable Global Warming documents the reality of a moderate, natural, 1500-year climate cycle on the earth. The Chilling Stars explains the why and how.

DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2007®
That will just get us off topic. My point is Bush is less and less able to frighten people into silence as his stature diminishes. But one must ask, if your science is so good, why was BushMafia so interested in keeping opposing views silent? Generally, when one has the upper hand in an argument, silencing your opponent doesn't make any sense. Why was this done? In addition, that crap you posted is just a typical Drudge "counter piece", a piece of drivel, any piece of drivel wil do to be a "counter" to some important news development that is unfavorable to the right, as was the scientific study released earlier this week. Drudge also prints numerous out right falsehoods in his "flash" reports as well, to the point nobody wth half a brain reads those stupid things.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

If impeachment proceeds, you won't have to worry about Cheney. They will be impeached together as part of a conspiracy. If impeachment becomes evident, they will resign and do the appointment merryground Nixon and Ford did in order to preserve their libraries and pensions.

Arnold was born in a foreign country and under the COTUS, he cannot be president.

Not if Cheney is out first. You have correctly assessed the situation, the American people WERE lied to, and that's why they disapprove now. You don't seem to give them much credit.

And just exactly how do you know that as an indisputable fact? Do you have records for the last million years handy?
The ice records from both the Arctic and Antarctic show that there have been numerous changes in climate and atmospheric composition, some worse then this change, and some have been faster. You're blowing smoke just like FoTL.
To say that things have changed in "orders of magnitude out of the natural cycle" is such BS, is amazing in it's lack of thought. We don't even know what the "natural cycle" is for Pete's sake..........

I don't have to, I didn't pose the original conjecture. How about them apples???
