SCAM MERCEDES BENZ DEALERS not giving LOANERS ANYMORE ? WTF IS WRONG WITH THAT ?
This is crazy. I bought my car from Mercedes Benz of North Haven, and I live in Manhattan and MB of Manhattan is telling me I cannot recieve a loaner vehicle unless I purchased the automobile there. I use to be able to get a loaner vehicle, but now they changed the rule. I checked several other MB dealers and they say the same thing. What type of BS is this ? I have an 05 C55 I purchased for a good price in CT but MB Manhattan expects for me to just wait 5 days until my car is finished. I dont want to drive back to CT just so I can get a loaner vehicle. On top of that they also charging $30 fee for fuel and cleaning that must be paid upon reciet of loaner at MB New Haven. This is just rediculous. I drive an expensive luxury automobile, and their is something wrong with it I cant get a loaner unless it was purchased there, and If I go back to where I purchased it from they are charging me a fee. This is just out right BS. I feel like getting rid of my car now. This is such a total inconvience. This type of mess helps dealers lose potential customers. The customer service has gone down on MB part. Why do they do this ? Has anyone else experienced this. This should end. What difference does it make whether or not you purchased the automobile there or not ? They still get paid. This is outright lame.
Unfortunately, this is very common with dealers. My dealer has it printed on notices that loaner cars are first come, first serve for dealer purchasers only. If you bring a car in from another dealer or individual, too bad, so sad.
Scam would be the wrong word for this. Sham would be more like it.

Call The Carriage House in New London, CT. 860-447-3361. They will send a guy out with a loaner, pick your car up, perform the repairs (they will even flat bed it if your car is not driveable, for a fee I would expect) drive it back and pick up the loaner, all according to your schedule. No fee for the pick up or the loaner. And they do a good job. If you are a MBCA member they also give you a very healthy 20% discount on parts. Not all MB dealers are shitbirds.

Loeber Motors has a freakin' Enterprise right in their building. Last loaner I got was a Pontiac mini-van for God's sake.
Pontiac mini van...
Booo!!!

MB dealer network sucks when compared to Lexus, Infiniti, and some Cadillac dealers. Was in Santa Fe and tried to take the SL in for a dead trunk closer. They said I get no fucking loaner for the no buy here reason. I say fine, I am calling MB USA and talking to them about their practice. They say I can have a loaner. I reset the fucking closer motor once again (and again) and waited until I got the car back to Dallas. Typical MB serivce from my experience.

You sound more than a bit 'precious' - the type of Merc. owner that gives the rest a bad rep.
Why the hell should another dealer fall over themselves to service your car -they have their own customers cars that cause enough grief!.

Why? Because they charge a fucking arm & a leg and will get their out of pocket back in spades, that's why. We pay through the nose for these cars and have certain expectations. All I want is to walk into the dealer and not have to worry about how I'm going to get home. For that small bit of comfort, I'm willing to pay $650,000 for new plugs, or whatever it is.

Tell them all that - I'm sure you'll have no problem being offered a bicycle at least - negotiate from there.
But my point is - the dealer these days is more likely saying: 'Wish I was selling Skoda' - for he has a workshop and day sheet overflowing with bookings.
How long will it take for you guys to accept that Mercedes these days is overpriced shit?.
