Remember the Bill Murray movie "Stripes"? There was a scene just before the boot camp 'graduation' exercise where he asks,

"Who cried when Old Yeller died?"

In the movie, everyone did. The movie, "Old Yeller" is so out of date that the reference falls flat among today's youth. That said, a few years ago, I took the liberty of updating Mr. Murray's line and asked the younger late teens/early 20's guys I work with,

"Who cried when Optimus Prime died?"

A surprising number admitted to it.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

That was Caddyshack. Close, though. Try this one.

"Who's your buddy? Who's your friend? I am, aren't I."

or

"An army without leaders is like a foot without a big toe. And Sergeant Hulka is always gonna be here to be that big toe for us."
