Calling any Brits who can play cricket

Will you please come over to Australia and at least attempt to play the game?

The Cat and Fiddle Pub on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood had a Cricket for the homeless event. Only the Brits could have ex Sex Pistol Johnny Lydon, actor Michael York, and an English Lord in the same team.

They'll do! They would have to be better than what is over here at the moment - it's getting worse, I don't think they have won a single game in the whole tour.

I'm from Canada and learned now to play Cricket when I was young. I'm not going to Australia because I can't understand the slang.

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant

We've moved on. Darts is the new cricket. You have to be bearded, old, grossly overweight, poorly educated and able to consume huge quantities of warm beer whilst maintaining the ability to stand still for a couple of minutes. Very British.

The Cat and Fiddle, we used to drink there when it was on Laurel Canyon and Kirkwood 20 years ago. Neighbours threw it out because of the noise ..drunken Pommies and the occasional Kiwi. Then it moved down to that Spanish building on Sunset, Oh how we laughed, English pub in a fake Spanish restaurant in Hollywood.

The little dwarf actor Billy Farty tugged on my sleeve one night and 'demanded' a drink, "Buy me a drink" the little cunt said.

"Why don't you Fuck off" I replied, he did too

..the fucking coward.

You had me at "bearded"...

you lost me at "warm beer"

The proper buzz is key -- the rest is all pomp and circumstance...
