VERY nice pictures! It certainly looks like a neat place and I can't blame you for going there!

Travel Alert... Travel Alert... Travel Alert...

While not quite the beautiful vistas of the Hawaiian Islands, I will be traveling into downtown Dallas next week. It appears I have won some sort of contest to attend a sporting event where people with sticks will chase a small rubber (hmm!) object around a hunk of ice. Did I mention this takes place in Texas?

Anybody need to see another picture of the Texas School Book Depository?
Grassy knoll?

Anyone?
Anyone?
Bueller?

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Anyone else notice the little green sign on the tree trunk looking thing right next to the orange peckerwrecker plant? Wonder what that might have said...

It's for the tree, which I believe said 'ficus benjamina".

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
