Michigan and Affirmative Action

U. Of Michigan To Ban Affirmative Action, Move Comes In Middle Of Admissions Process For Next Fall's Class - CBS News

The University of Michigan will now no longer pay attention to anything but the individual merits of applicants to the school, in compliance with a voter-approved ban on Affirmative Action for state school admissions and employee/contractor hiring.

It's about freaking time.

In case you want to know who the real racists are in this country, start looking for the people who decry this move as anything negative.

Very true. If there still needs to be preferential selection for grants, then so be it. But, not for admissions.
