I have 400GB of music. In 1 square foot.

A sample: One folder with 20 years of the billboard top 100 for each year. 7GB. 2000 songs.

But I can't seem to let go of my CDs, cassettes, and albums.

It was funny, I always get a chuckle out of the Plain Dealer reviews as well. Likewise my line about Greg Allman...

Apropos pipes, sometimes Andre Crouch lets us know when he is singing in a church choire (Pacoima). Great stuff.
One of the best House of Blues gigs was with only two musicians on stage and performing together, Willie Nelson and Leon Russell! Wow.
Anyone see John Legend "Live at the House of Blues"? Great concert!!

Star Wars Soundtrack (original from 1977).

followed shortly by

ABBA's Greatest Hits (another original edition).

not exactly an auspicious beginning, but had to start somewhere.

That is how I am. I have 1.3TB of music that I have converted, either from album, disc or in a couple of cases, reel-to-reel [who remembers when Columbia House offered Albums, 8-Track or Reel-to-Reel as your three options?] I still have some 8-Track but all were rebought as CD so I did not have to rebuild a player to convert anything [unless I need that Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass "Whipped Cream and Other Delights"].

When I added all of my stuff from 64 to current and my wife's collection and all of the Windham Hill collection that we got when a friend who was an original artist on the label died [450 discs] and it required its own little server. Thank goodness Best Buy ran a sell on 500GB HDD in October. I bought 4 of their SATA2 drives for $600 to get 2TB.

I guess we know how you plan to spend all of your retirement years. You're going to need all of them, if you are lucky enough to reach 95!
