Photos as postcards...I know SmugMug - The ultimate in photo sharing. Online photo albums, photo sharing, photo hosting and photo storage. can do that (if you sign up with them tell me first and I can save you $5), but they use ezprints for printing, and ezprints doesn't list that on their website so it must be outsourced. I'll see if I can find out who does it for them.

I can say this much, avoid the megapixel trap. What you want is a camera that has low (or lower at least) noise (grainyness) at higher ISO's. I have printed a 20x30" print from a 6MP camera, it came out fine, so I doubt you'll ever need more than 6MP. Ceteris paribus more megapixels means more noise.

I think a Canon G5 would fit the bill (no longer made, but I think they go used for your price range). If you don't like to buy used from people, there's always keh.com that's a real store that sells used camera gear.
ok I raise you $300-400 lol I don't want a chinsy..well...lets stick with $250-350 lol

So you're not willing to do used? Cause KEH has an EX+ rated G5 for $325. The only thing lacking on that camera is the 2 second start up time...but then I don't know if the newer point and shoots have improved on that.

It's $10 out of budget, but the Canon A710IS, mainly for the IS...unless you want to shoot moving objects a lot at a high zoom focal length (on the telephoto end its aperature can only open to f/4.8).

BTW, a good reviews site other than dpreview is Digital Camera Reviews from the Digital Camera Resource Page

It's out of the price range, it's an SLR, and it's a piece of..well not junk but there are certainly better alternatives out there. PopPhoto went down the crapper long ago.
