Personally I'd advise against Windex or any strong cleaner. Many screens (not just LCDs) have layers (such as protective or anti-glare) that can be damaged by stronger things.
Perhaps in the end the most important thing is what you then use to dry it with. Soft natural cloths are better than paper towels, etc.
