Doesn't Zeno in Basel make a 55mm?

Many years ago, at a Club Med down in Mexico, I was talking to an Chicago attorney at dinner.

He said every time he went to HongKong, he'd buy about a dozen cheap Rolexwatches, bring them back and put the guts of a Timex in each of them, and then give them as inexpensive gifts to clients, who got the Rolex look and the Timex accuracy/durability.

And at Club Med, who needed a watch? You could "always ask some Ass**** what time it is"

I am a bit surprised that no one has mentioned Girard Perregaux, Blancpain, or Audemars Piguet.

I love Blancpain but not a fan of the AP Royal Oak line of design. GP is alright but don't hold its value.

Anyone into Chronoswiss?

My grail watch is the WG Lange Automatik.

BTW, IWC is owned by the Swiss Richemont Group which owns:
Cartier - jewellery, watches, etc. French company, watches Swiss made
Van Cleef & Arpels - jewellery, watches, etc.
Piaget - jewellery, watches
Vacheron Constantin - watches, Swiss made
A. Lange & Söhne - watches, made in Saxony
Jaeger-LeCoultre - watches, Swiss made
Officine Panerai - watches, Swiss made, Italian heritage
International Watch Co - watches, Swiss made, American-founded
Baume et Mercier - watches
Montblanc - German writing instrument manufacturer
Alfred Dunhill, Ltd.
Lancel
Chloé
Old England
James Purdey & Sons
Montegrappa - Italian writing instrument manufacturer

Breguet needs to be mentioned. The AP mantle clock and watch set, where the watch is wound, adjusted, and kept in a recess of the clock is an amazing piece of craftsmanship that I lust after.
