Geez, Wikipedia already has it written down for his page.

RIP President Ford.

BTW, "another one bites the dust" is reserved for the Enzo's that are crashed by their stupid owners, or thieves.

Gerald Ford, RIP

A good man, but his pardon of Richard Nixon defined his presidency, for all time, and cost him the 1976 election.

I think he lasted pretty well for a Ford. Perhaps it was the gum that kept him together.

A mediocre man, elevated to high office because he was in the bag for Nixon. Nixon must have had pictures of the guy doing sheep on his farm up there in Michigan. I can not see how anyone would have pardoned him otherwise. Perhaps if Nixon had done some time for his crimes, subsequent presidents would have thought twice before engaging in the same type of behavior.

Ultimately it was important for the country to move on from the ordeal and a pardon was the only way to make that happen.
