Put an add for some university kid or someone you know to make money over the break. Have them dirve the car, pay them a daily rate then pay for their airline back.

Well thanks Jayhawk
YES St. Louis has a Nordstrom @ West County Mall. My sales expertise is partly why I got my job as an insurance agent. Great experience & wonderful people to work with

Anyway, due to my career I will be relocating to St. Louis, MO from here in Bay Area San Francisco end of December.

All other things have been taken care of except my W140. I plan to ship it and have never done it before.

I need some input from you who have experience in shipping cars.

Thanks in advance.
Go open carrier and pick it up yourself at the local terminal. Call many transports and see which one may have a base in STL or SF.

His experience was great, he could track the car's progress on line, daily, as it travelled, (that's cool) and it arrived fine, in less than a week cross country, door to door, so you can't beat that.

Fa reputable shipper who is careful and prompt. I wish I could name such an outfit, and there probably are some out there, but I don't know which ones to suggest (and to avoid)
WATCH OUT for DAS!!!!!!

Go to W126 section and read Powerpig's SEC W126 on that section!

He says he bought a 560SEC in Los Angeles and had it shipped to Virginia, and DAS almost destroyed the car, it took a long time to settle the claim, and then in the shop to fix it after that.

I have asked him for the details but it sounds like it would be ugly.

I take back what I swaid goood aboug Dependable Auto Shippers being good, because here is someone who had a terrible time with them, and who had no reason to misrepresent this.

I hope you get this in time. I would look else where I think...

Thanks Babe! I couldn't believe STL didn't have a Nordstrom. I'm even more impressed w/ you that you worked there. It is my favorite place to shop--I only wish we had a CBabe here in KC.

The same people who own the MB dealerships here in KC just opened one in STL. Can't rember the name, but you have some pretty good options over there.
