I just returned from living in France for 3 years. With regards to French food, I think it stems from being occupied so many times for so long. They had to eat the things the occupying forces would not eat. Snails, ears, intestines, horses, bone marrow, brains etc. Over time they convinced themselves that they ate them because they wanted to.

With regards to cleanliness, Paris is hands down cleaner than London... Cheaper too.

However the final nail in the coffin for the French, they have no clue about how to make decent beer!

Moi aussi.

I love this painting: as a pre-pubescent pre-teen, it gave me a legitimate reason to ogle at titties.

I also love her sidekicks: homage to Abe Lincoln and his achievement (emancipated balck) to her left and let's not forget the young Yosemite Sam to the right, lol. That butch lesbian about to zero in on Liberty's crotch and that corpse in the foreground, caught with his pants down, must be a politician.

Actually no or I have completely forgotten. In fact, I forgot about the Abe Lincoln lookalike is in fact Delacroix himself. I learned it back in high school and it came back only after I made the post.

Well I think the kid is Gavroche from the story by Victor Hugo 'Les Miserables'. I could be wrong though
