Long Island Iced Tea

Who fixes the best? Let me have your preferred recipes!

I like one measure each of Gordon's, Jose Cuervo gold, Bacardi, Cointreau and two of Finlandia topped with a splash each of Pepsi and dry ginger, slice of lime.

I would like to see how a good Long Island Ice Tea is described. What are the important qualities?

Never been a huge fan of the LI Iced Tea. Can't imagine why, either--all those different liquors hanging out together in the same glass--sounds like drink heaven...Maybe it's too sophisticated for me--I still drink my whiskey straight from the bottle (brown paper bag optional).

^^^^^^

Ditto me, Cafe Iguana, Union Sq. NYC (is it still there?)-Went in sensible and vertical, a few LIIT's later and a little shimmy on the bar, came out horozontal courtesy of four goons. Still, made some new chums in the park there. ;-)

Sounds good except I'd cut the ginger, Pepsi, Finlandia, Cointreau, Bacardi and Cuervo.

It's a girl drink only if your intentions are entirely (dis) honorable.

I'll have to try your recipe...sounds good ....heres mine

1 Cazadoras (tequila), 1 Bacardi, 1 Gordons, 1 Absolut, 1 triple sec, 1 1/2 sweet n sour, Shake with a few cubes, pour in glass, splash of Coke for color, slice of lemon or lime. My "1's" are 40 ml...I measure in a lab column.

I think you can run your car on this "fuel"....gets my motor started!

I go a bit heavy on the Tequila cause I like the stuff.....
