My wife now makes 5x what I used to make when I quit my job to become stay-at-home dad.
Though when we met, she was a medieval historian destined to become a relic clad in moth-eaten tweed jacket and saggy stockings steeped in genteel poverty gathering dust at some research library
One day, when she told me that she'd decided to become a lawyer, I was like
She brings home the bacon, I keep the house and kid tidy, renovate the house as time allows, and make sure our cars are up to date on maintenance - they're things I do best and we're all happy about the arrangement.
the guy in question is immature, insecure, and inexperienced.
