If you want to look forward to something that you do not and cannot know, that is certainly your prerogative. Personally, I find it unsatisfying and unproductive.
Oh...that's where my bong went.

Why do we promote our survival....why don't we eat our young? Once we are here, why would we care....if the answer is ego then, what is the source of ego?

I've stood on a step-ladder to hit a six-foot bong before, but never on my knees...

The answer is found in the simple will to survive that all life on our planet is genetically imbued with. Any such life that was not imbued with this property has been long since snuffed out of existence. I mean, this is incredibly obvious stuff, isn't it? If you want to seek answers from invisible fairies in the sky, go right ahead. You may even convince yourself that you've found them. Alternately, you can look toward philosophy and ponder your life away in reams of ethereal trivia, which is nearly as pointless an exercise.

If all dogs go to heaven, who's in charge of the pooper scooper?
