The Dems will screw up any momentum they have with an ugly primary in which they will probably nominate Hillary.

Hillary can't win. RWNJ's will be mortgaging their houses to send money to the RNC. Women don't like women and in times of war she doesn't satisfy the "daddy protect me" crowd. McCain will clean her clock.

Gore is a retread. He had his shot and blew it big time. Christ, even I couldn't stand him and I liked him back when he was running against Clinton.

I really like Edwards, but a trial lawyer, one term senator is a tough sell.

On the Rep side, forget Giuliani and Romney. Both too pro gay, they will never make it out of the south.

I liked McCain 6 years ago, but he'll be too old. Two years older than Reagan and who wants another president asleep at the helm.

Newt is interesting. I don't think he has a shot but the "we have strayed from the republican gospel" schtick could go far in the primary.

I think it will be two dark horses.

What??? Lots of people think the election was *stolen* from him down in Florida. And he was *right* about global awarning.

He could have put the country in the EXACT position that Obredor has put Calderon in, in Mexico, if you ask me, and he didn't do it.

But he was recently interviewed, and said another run isn't on his agenda.

Hopefully Hillary knows her role, which as I have noted before is to be the lightning rod for GOP campaign dirty tricks, a virtual engergizer bunny to draw out all their spare cash and resources, exposing them and their tactics before the convention.

If the Democrats decide to put up a candidate to win, it can't be Hillary. I agree with much of koop's assessment. She is a weapon to be used, but not an electable candidate. I would like to see a real run-off of Democratic and Republican candidates with the best each party has to offer as the choice.

Being an independent, I see a government run solely by Democrats nearly as unwise as one run entirely by Republicans. One difference is the Democrats are a much looser party than the Republicans, and the idea that America would retreat to the no-public-debate-of-issues mode of operating with entirely Democratic Legislative and Executive branches is slim - Democrats will atleast be debating themselves over policies, even if they resort to steam rollering the GOP with a sufficient majority once a decision is made.

Pow-wuh!

Seeking power at all costs is the goal of the party man.

Power seeking expunges both parties of people with wisdom, vision and honor. Instead, they believe that intelligence is a substitute for wisdom, a plan is better than "that vision thing", and returning favors is the same as personal honor.

So you have candidates that are smart, have a plan, and exchange favors. You know them: Demopublicans.

Never question my distaste for Bush, as I have never made it something hard to notice. But I do vote across party lines - I try to vote for what I think is best for the country. In the last elections I supported the present, Republican Governor of CT. A few other local level types that I know personally, as well. But my objective for this last election was to break the all GOP hold on the federal government, and examining the results it looks like many other fellow Americans agreed.

Next time you are planning on marching naked in an anti-ACLU or anti-Social Security, or anti-whatever Republican Party cause, let us all know. It might be worth it to see who your naked marching buddies are. Jim
