Since you put it that way, why swear him in at all, the reprobate Muslim dog.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

But he has the option to repent and accept Jesus as his Lord and savior or simply convert to Judaism.

I thought he was speaking in tongues, but it was Arabic.

Islam, damn and all this time I thought we were fightinga against terrorists.....

Which is now is the case, regardless of the reason for the start of the war, we are definitly fighting Al Queda there now.

Like most things in life the answer is not always easy. But this is a nation ruled by and voted by majority and I dont want to see the minority rule my life more than it already has especially with the aid of the ACLU.

That being said as often as Im against you, FTL and the like, over time I sense that if I meet you guys in person Im sure I would like most of you regardless of our views.

My Car WOO HOO...... Now SOLD

But you did not address the issue of the Torah, is that an acceptable book to be sworn in with?

The point is to use a symbol of something that holds a deep personal meaning to the person being sworn in, not to pay homage to the Christian bible. What good would it do for a Muslim to swear on the bible? It would be like a Christian swearing on Kuran. Or a comic book. The swearing in ceremony is about the person being sworn in, to do their duty as an elected official and represent the interests of their constituents. Why is this about Christianity or separation of church and state? Why do you shitheads have to make it about something it isn't? Jim

Yeah but your answer was quicker when you did not know. This means when it was only the Quran versus the Bible it was an easy one for you, but once the Torah came into the mix your conviction about minorities having no say suddenly changed. Do I see a pattern here or am I seeing too much into this?
