I hate to see anyone so upset .

Not everyone has to love the ACLU, seems most you talk to are in favor of hunting the lowlifes down like the animals they are.

Enjoy your week.

The truth is, groups and organizations are terrified of lengthy trials brought out by the ACLU for some frivolous lawsuit that costs millions. Usually these ACLU lawsuits are an expensive ongoing fight. A civil compromise of the laws would be more desirable, imo.
In this example, protesters are welcome to "express views” however, not within an x amount of feet/yards/miles, as the courts decide. Yet the ACLU doesn’t compromise, and the battle continues.

Feel free to hunt me anytime, motherfucker, I'll put a bullet in your fucking skull.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Depending on where the cemetary is, there could be grounds (no pun intended) for the removal of all protesters. Cemetaries are basically a private business. There is a reasonable expectation of a certain level behavior when in a place if business. Imagine the swift retribution that would occur if such a protest were to take place in the local Wal Mart. Is a cemetary any different just because it is not contained within walls and a roof?

It would fall to the cemetary to have the authorities escort out those who do not meet the cemetary's standard of behavior, allowing the funeral to proceed based on the agreement previously reached between the cemetary and the family of the deceased. The cemetary, in order to survive, must be allowed to deliver its services as promised and should therefore be protected from 'improper' behavior under the law.

Cliffs Notes
You can be evicted from a place of business for behaving badly.
A family should be able to grieve without being subjected to the opinion of others.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Yes, and these people know it. The way they operate is to find the funeral notices so they know what time and cemetary it is at, and to then hold the protests on the public sidewalks outside of the cemetary gates so they can harass the entire motorcade on the way in and get maximum press exposure. Since all of us have a right to go out on a public sidewalk with a sign and make a complete fool of ourselves, so do these people. I see no way to stop it as long as public notices of the event are printed. How would you stop it? Arrest protestors on the street according to a list of opinions you don't like?
