Must be impact craters or maybe God was skipping stones.

Using Google Earth, I looked around the bottom of lake Michigan for an escarpment -- assuming that a meteor hitting at an angle would depress the approach-side of the impact crater and lift the down-range side. I couldn't see anything that looked like that. I wonder if there has been an ice age since the impact, resulting in an ice sheet scraping the escarpment?

In any case, I think it's kind of neat to have a geographical mystery in an easily accessible, populated area.

That website is pretty interesting.

Why do you feel the need to question God's artistry?

Obviously it was prehistoric giant ants that died out when their queen became too conservative and could no longer evolve.

Everyone knows that Prehistoric Ants died out because they could not adapt to the metric system.
