Harder than you think....

My brother is the Greens Superintendent at a country club in PA. He has to requisition a new pick up truck for the course. He has been trying to acquire a new, stripped down pick up for light duty work and parts runs, for the past few weeks. After visiting many, many dealerships, none have a stripped down, automatic, 2 wheel drive, no electronic windows, no fancy wheels, bench style seat, no A/C, no frills pick up. He can get one "Special" order, but has to wait several weeks, and believe it or not, there are extra fees involved. Funny, it is harder these days to find vehicles without the gingerbread.

I've got a neighborhood in Houston you can park one of the fancy ones in overnight, and it will be converted into a stripped-down version for you at no charge. Surely you know how to find Elgin Ave off 59?

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Cool, then take a new one for a "test drive", park it, go for a burger or something and make sure you take the salesman with you. The dude will follow you for a free meal no doubt about that.
So now you have a fee of $3.99 the cost of his meal. Take the truck back to the dealership and sign for a not only a stripped down version but get a salvage discount on top of everything.
After you finsih the deal, FTL and I will meet you and give you back all the goodies for say a grand each and you will still be ahead. What do you say?
