I may not agree with FTL on everything, but I didn't take what he said as offensive. I went to the gulf with an idea of what the mission was and found out in the process that I'd been severely lied to. I felt more betrayed than a chump. Either way, how is it disrespectful?

Here's where you question my dedication to country...

I just figured that I’d start getting some BS comments about lack of patriotism since I made a decision to get out of the service.

I don't feel that this is the right forum to discuss the whys or why nots
of your month service in the Arabian Gulf in 03.

From what I've read hear there is no other service member who partook
in the Operation Iraqi Freedom.
You may find better results of opinions from members who were on the ground
in that time frame that well debate how they feel about the service they did
and the administrations response.

There are plenty of military forums out there with SF people who my
disagree with you on the subject matter of WMDs and base camps for trainee
and funding.

^So his month battle doesn't count and WMD's might still be there or were there and no one recognized them huh? Do you have any idea how silly you sound?^

Wow... it's amazing how incredibly detailed you are. Do you actually have my service record or something? tool

I was not getting into a debate here. In fact, if you learn how to read, you'll see that I've actually been the one stating that a debate as to the validity of the conflict shouldn't be argued in this posting. The farthest I went was to state that some people are coming back feeling betrayed.

I'd like to know exactly why you feel the need to publicly attempt to invalidate my service? Are you going to actually be bold enough to say that my position and two deployments (both significantly longer than 1 month, fuck stick) were of no need or consequence? Go ahead... you go ask the ground forces if they appreciated the air cover. In fact, take a trip over there yourself and play "Army of one". Or, sign up and get into the intelligence field. Do you really think you have a clue as to what's really going on? There's a drastic difference between the battle and the war. I actually dedicate my time to helping the guys that are coming back with PTSD. What exactly are you doing asshole? What are you going to do to make a difference?

Oh, that's right... you'd rather sit in the comfort of your home, watch CNN, convincing yourself that you're informed and try to blast people for doing what you're too fucking lazy to do yourself.

Don't you EVER question any soldier's service!
