Wow Nutz, in a snow contest few could beat you. ................
Myfirstbenz, I learned to drive in an Unimog when I was 12 in a lumber yard. Great machines. I used to visit Spain several times a year, around Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, Santiago de Compostela, and have known it since Franco. Where did you live?

Well, part of me lived there during Franco(when I was an egg in my mother) . She lived there when she was in college. When I was in college the last time, I studied abroad and decided to live in Spain. I had traveld all around Spain before and loved it. I lived for about half a year in Granada. My university was about 2 blocks from the Alhambra, one of my favorite fortified structures! I did a road trip with friends in a Renault Clio to Gibraltair and Portugal, and most of Spain, and then I flew to Germany for 10 days, and fell in love with that country more than any other on this planet. I miss Europe dearly... I know the US is great, but europe is fantastic.

Thumbs up

hey Nutz.... are those Lightforce rally lights on that 190? I had always wondered how round lights woud look on the square shaped bodies of the w201 and w124, they actually look pretty killer... hmmm.

The first Mog I drove was an ex-french 416 diesel. Fantastic rigs, I can't wait to finish school so I can buy one! Here is a photo when I was probably um, 18?

My Mothers house is on this lake outside Hannover and ice sailing used to be a favorite winter activity. These pics are from 'Steinhuder Meer.' (sorry, but Mercedes doesn't make boats)
That Ice sailing looks like a blast! I have always wanted to try that... I'll put it on my list of things to do!

Granada is home to some stunning looking women, full of Islamic influence (Alhambra etc.). The region used to be proof that Christians, Muslims and Jews can coexist in peace. I like Seville's Cathedral and the Alcazar is a bit macabre. This is a link to my home town of Bielefeld (picture) at the Teutoburg forest range, not as impressive, but no slouch either. The Germanic tribes under Hermann (Arminius) fought and defeated the Romans there in the year 9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bielefeld Probably more info than you wanted. Cheerio

Oh man the women there were amazing! The problem was, most of them rode around on the back of scooters that had no mufflers with their faggy spanish boyfriends with gelled hair... but the women would have tight pants, usually white... delicious.

Sevilla was a great city, I love the cathedral there, I have been there a few times, christopher colombus is intoumbed there as you may remember, how could one forget. I also enjoyed the mosque/cathedral in Cordoba, where the Moors had a mosque, then the catholics came in and used the colums of mosques from all over the region to make a bigger cathedral... those crazy kids! Facinating region andalucia.

Ah Bielefield, that is on my list of places to visit. I got as far north as Heidelburg where my friend lived, and I stayed in Stuttgart, and Munich, I need to go back!
