I just don't see it as that. This world has norms for dealing with men like this. What gives us the right to put ourself above them, when we demand the Hitlers and the Milosevics and Japanese stand before these courts? The charges are simple, the evidence obvious. Bush, Cheney, Rice and Rumsfeld constituted a criminal conspiracy to wage agressive war, just as the Nazi Party did. There is absolutely no difference between these organizations in motivation, only in scale. They should stand before the same bars of justice.
Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please.
