Would you want him as our next President?
Former New York City Mayor, America's Mayor, Rudy Giuliani is regarded as one of the best to make a run for the White House in 2008.
No City Mayor has ever made that leap. Do you think he has a chance?
I personally think he would be a great Chief Executive.

I've long thought that if Hillary throws her hat, or er, tampon, into the ring, Rudy will step up for the Republicans. It'd be a heavyweight title bout, man.
The religious freaks of the party will not vote for an adulterer who is pro-choice and pro gun control.
So NO I don't think he will get the Rep nomination.

I think it's been proven that the religious freaks are irrelevant. There's a lot to be said for a centrist Presidential candidate. Hillary may run on a centrist platform, but history being the best indicator of future performance, she'll get absolutely fucking shredded if she does.
I for one would love to see her implode on TV during a run for President.
Religious freaks do count when it comes to the Rep nomination why do u think Mccain is cozying up to them. Dobson and that other moron (BJ Univ) already have said that they will not support Guiliani, that translates to their sheep following suit. I doubt Clinton will get the dem nomination either.
I see Guiliani as VP on a McCain ticket, which will give him stature to run as a national candidate and spare him a bloody primary fight with McCain in 2008. McCain is only good for a single term, Guiliani wouldn't have long to wait.
Giuliani would easily win in a general election no matter who ran against him. It would be good to see a consensus choice among the left and right in the WH. Unfortunately, the Repubs are probably too myopic to nominate him (as shown by their failure to nominate McCain in 00). I bet they nominate McCain who is now damaged goods and won't be nearly as appealing as he was when he could claim to talk straight.
McCain would be stronger as a Vice-President than a President. At a certain level, the intangibles become more important than the issues (otherwise Kerry or Gore may have stood a better chance, and we'd have never elected Clinton).
Say what you will about Bush, he's a pretty likeable guy when he's not consumed by the business of running a nation. Clinton was a very likeable guy even when he was running a nation.
I've never met the man, but I know someone who knows 43 personally and has for some time. I trust his judgement of people to be above reproach. George W. Bush is a good man, and is exceptionally adept at building personal relationships. Neither McCain, nor Kerry, nor Gore, nor Cheney are that kind of person. Giuliani on the other hand, is definitely that kind of guy.
