What kind of computer do you use?
What's your box? I'm a laptop freak. I own three of them - an IBM R51 I use for work, a Dell SmartStep of some sort that weighs a ton that I let my kids use, and my personal favorite, an IBM T42 I've souped up with a gig of RAM, a nice light machine great for travel. It comes with a kit that allows you to mount any laptop HD into a cartridge that you can slide into the CD bay, which is like having an 80 gig flash drive. I can use HD's like floppys with it.
Are you on broadband, or will you admit to the shame of still being on dial-up? I use a Cingular GSM satellite card, which gets me an amazing 600k of bandwidth, up or down, that is if it can stay on the net. I wouldn't own anything else, once you get away from the wire, its worth the extra money.
Is anyone using a smart phone of some type to uplink to the net via a USB cable that allows you to surf the net through the phone on your laptop? I'm interested in that.
Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address
