You got it. Park District landscaper for Morse Beach in East Rogers -- greatest summer job ever when I was in school. Every once in a while we actually got up off our rear ends and worked, though it was rare. The worst of it was raking up alewives and burying them under about 6" of sand.

Morse beach, isn't that the little beach at the end of a side street with skyscrapers that you have to go down quite a few stairs to get to?

No, I think that's the concrete Oak St. Beach. Morse Beach is one of the biggies -- goes from Pratt almost all the way to Touhy, but we were responsible for all beaches from Loyola to Howard St.

Yes I remember, it has a wide concrete apron and long flat sand. We used to ride our bikes all the way up to Kenilworth when I was a kid and we'd go through it every time. Great luke warm David Berg hot dogs.
There is a tiny little beach around Lunt that I'm talking about. Always empty cuz' you'd never know it was there.

I recall that now that you mention it. Tiny, sparkling clean, about 40' across, and almost completely hidden. Back in the day, Morse beach was the social center of my world. I met nearly everybody I knew, screwed, and and/or partied with there. I'm sure it's a complete sh!thole now...

Rogers Park is about 2/3 Jamaican now so you could probably score some great weed. Oak Street Beach reject here, couldn't stand the incessant din of the bongo drums at Fullerton.
