From the NYTimes:
U.S. Web Archive Is Said to Reveal a Nuclear Primer
Last March, the federal government set up a Web site to make public a vast archive of Iraqi documents captured during the war. The Bush administration did so under pressure from Congressional Republicans who had said they hoped to “leverage the Internet” to find new evidence of the prewar dangers posed by Saddam Hussein.
The story goes on to explain that the site included data that the US insisted, in documents submitted to the UN in 2002, be edited out because it was too sensitive to let out to the rest of the UN. Meaning the documents had already been reviewed in 2002 and found to be so clear and technically correct, that the information should not be shared with the UN in general, so the documents were classified secret. But to try to save Republican political hide with an election coming, someone thought, again, that national security could be subjugated to a political power grab.
The debate about Chimpy-Chimp, chimp, Chimp's! intellectual capacity is typically no more than some kind of distraction as I see it. So what if he is dumb as a door knob. If he is a loyal American citizen he won't do anything to damage America and eventually he has to leave the White House. But here we have an act that, if it was a private citizen's action, they would disappear into the "No Rights Zone" and never be heard from again. The problem is, blinded by the fear of, well, obviously not terrorism, nor danger to America from the proliferation of WMD, but danger to losing their hold on POWER, the Republican Party including its Chimpy, chimp, chimp leader, have managed to provide assistance in the proliferation of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction to anyone with a computer and a connection to the internet. That violates so many explicit laws on export of stuff from America, from ITAR to OAR, there is no way anyone who participated in this greedy power grabbing conspiracy in the world outside politics would not be locked up as traitor. So, either the undercurrent about Republicans being stupid, and especially Chimpy, chimp, chimp, chimp being stupid are true, or they are just criminals willing to commit treason to achieve their goals. You decide. It is treason and dereliction of duty as I see it. Jim
