So Shane -- what do you think of your governor?

This guy's been a very public figure lately, and he seems to relish the international scene. It seems pretty clear he's gonna make a run...

Well my gov is still Perry. Richardson is not mine yet although he will be within a year of final transition for myself.

I disapprove of Perry. I approve of Richardson. I would probably vote for Richardson for president. He genuinely places public education as a high priority.

Perry is the oilest, most vapid politician I have ever seen in my life. The man is blatantly corrupt. In other words, he does well in this Republican state. For most of this election, his main threat has been a washed-up Jewish Cowboy comedian, who recently imploded in the state debates. Chris Bell, the Dem, may actually make a run for it now that Kinky's star doesn't shine so bright anymore.

I always find Richardson a bit of a lightweight.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Yes, I'm definitely talking about Richardson. I don't know enough about him to have made my mind up, but first impression is that he seems to have a lot going for him.

Considering the competition, that could be a good thing.

FTL, I'm surprised! I didn't think there was a politician you distrusted or disliked more than "W".

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)
