I don't say taxes won't be raised, or lowered, since we don't know what will happen in the next four years. But the argument that only Democrats raise taxes went out the window years ago and that was the point I was making.

At some point in time we, as a country, are going to have to address items like debt and social issues and infrastructure and an ever changing defense and the retirement of the largest generation that was ever born and all the associated issues that will come from that.

Right now, everyone screams that they want NO NEW TAXES. Everyone feels that they can take care of themselves. Some want the states to do the job. Others want it covered by For Profit Corporations. Either way it comes down there are going to be taxes paid and people are going to bitch and whine and complain. At some point folks are going to need to suck it up and accept that we have a social infrastructure that is not capable of handling the next 40 years of need and that monies are going to need to go into that.

And there lays the conundrum.

Typically, whichever side proposes a fix gets severely thrashed by the other side and NOTHING gets done for the millions of us who are watching our money get poured down an endless rat-hole. Both sides having seen their shadows and been mocked by them, dive back into their burrows muttering about the other side. Cowardly bastards.

My takehome did not seem to move much at all, nor did my wife's, not sure why.

See post above regarding my bleak outlook today. Might have something to do with a squirrel that has decided to make a nest in my roof. Apparently the new gutter guys did NOT do a complete job. It sounds like they are practicing The Nutcracker Suite up there and I cannot decide if a humane trap is more useful than the amount of putty required to patch a spot a after .44 cal. snakeshot round is discharged. I am open to options.

I am proud that I have risen from humble means and that I am able to contribute as much as I do in the form of taxes.

I just don't appreciate the "Fuck you" attitude the left has toward me when I hand over so much money.

thanks for assuming.. unfortunately you're way wrong.. freedom of speech is freedom of speech.. this isn't CCCP yet. in free speech anything goes. personally i don't see anything wrong with expressing one's opinion. where things change is when one actually makes some sort of move to implement an idea.

you guys have a very strange idea of free speech.

In your dreams, pal.

There are LOTS of limits on free speech. Many of them involve jail terms. Try looking-up slander, for example. Or advertising unproven medical treatments. Or certain kinds of political speech within 30 days of a federal election.

Many of other restrictions. Look it up.

Sorry libs, there are some things that are off-limits in a civilized society. I know that bothers you. Except when Democrats are in office.

Girl, 13, Pleads Guilty in Clinton Threats

Published: May 27, 1996
A 13-year-old girl pleaded guilty to mailing threatening letters to President Clinton, his family and other officials, while a second girl denied taking part and demanded a trial.

The guilty plea came at a pretrial hearing on Friday in Wayne County Juvenile Court. Judge Patricia Campbell ordered a psychological examination for the girl by July 24.

Under Michigan juvenile law, she could be warned, placed on probation or held until her 19th birthday.

A June 27 trial date was set for the second girl, also 13 years old. Both are seventh-graders.

Threatening, sexually explicit letters were mailed to President Clinton, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton and their 16-year-old daughter, Chelsea, said Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Beadle.

Letters also were sent to Gov. John Engler and Detroit's Police Chief, Isaiah McKinnon. Both girls, who were arrested in April, remain free but with electronic tethers to monitor their whereabouts.

How fucking stupid are you people?

this is quite a bit different then what's in the original post, no?
