Crazy weather here..

...at time of posting (10.30pm) it's 21 degrees (70F). Two days ago at lunch time I saw snowflakes in central Christchurch!!
Bushfires are burning (but not anywhere as bad as in Aus.)
Seems like a hot DRY Summer to come.

So far we have had the warmest October ever recorded. For the last week or so daytime temps have been around 70f and overnight lows around 60f-very pleasant. Similar happened last year and then suddenly around mid November it turned cold and stayed that way until June!

July was the coldest recorded for decades - it was a truly miserable mid-winter month by local standards.

Decades?

New Zealand isn't THAT new.

How does this July compare to July 3215 years ago?

What about 27,943 years ago?

Must be global climate change. Everything was stable until Bush stole the election up here. Sorry for the bad weather, my friend. The Democrats will re-stabilize the climate if they are elected.

I'll bet the New Zealand wool will be nice and thick this year, though.

What about that October when those Knights lobethed the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch at that rabbit?

Crazy weather for crazy people , Carl Jung would say it just another point made for synchronicity . There no such thing as wrong weather , only wrong clothes .

Everybody's talking at me
I don't hear a word they're saying
Only the echoes of my mind

People stopping staring
I can't see their faces
Only the shadows of their eyes

I'm going where the sun keeps shining
Thru' the pouring rain
"Going where the weather suits my clothes"
Banking off of the North East wind
Sailing on a summer breeze
And skipping over the ocean like a stone

Well it was 30' yesterday, with those damn warm winds, it turned out that the inside of the flat was warmer than the outside.
