Staying on subject I cannot believe the drop in value the 65's have! The SL's, S's, and CL's lose 50% value almost in two years.

There are 6 on my block as well. One guy has brand new E500 and doesn't even have a place in his garage, so the car is parked on the street all the time.

MY H.O.A. would fine him for parking on the street.

Here in Sarasota, MBs are more common than Chevys. Most are late model S, CLS, SL, and CLKs (especially convertibles). Quite a few SLKs, Es and Cs as well. The new vehicle of choice for soccer moms is now the R class having surpassed the M class. AMG versions of all classes are common as well. Even saw a SLR a couple of weeks ago. If you want to stand out in traffic around here you've got to drive a Maybach, Bently, Aston Martin, Maserati, Ferrari or Lambo.

Someone asked in a thread recently about how common W123s are where you live. I replied they're like hen's teeth. Even W126s and R107s are pretty rare anymore. Even if they are immaculate, they just don't give the right impression of wealth.

Bangkok has an unofficial population of 11 million. In the 6 1/2 years that I have lived there I have seen only 4 or 5 SLs or SLKs. There are a lot of Ss.

In my street probably 4 or so (W220, W107, W129 and me) - in the track over 30 I'd think. They are all over the place! Not to mention neighboring Irvine and Newport Beach.... a lot more than our modest Tustin.
