Are you saying they didn't sedate him or give him lidocaine at all? They just went in with pliers and yanked them? Or did he not get any vicodin or something afterwards?
I wasn't in the service when I had my wisdom teeth out, and while the pain of the procedure was itself blocked I didn't get any pain medication for afterwards. Something about not wanting to take the chance of thinning the blood, blowing out the clots, dry-sockets, etc. My post-procedure instructions were icepacks on the cheeks and rinsing gently a few times a day with warm salt water. (Lovely taste, that...)
My sympathies to your son for any pain he has and I applaud him for his service to our Country. I hope his tour is safe.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)
