2003 Jag S3

Old beat up Ford wagon.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address

I don't have any pictures of my PARENTS cars.
I wouldn't post them on here even if I did.

I moved out at 17. That's probably why I don't relate to most of your posts.
I wonder if you liked this movie. Maybe not, it probably hit a little too close to home (PUN intended).

A body can't just have Benzo's all the time.

Here is the rest of the group. The 99 GMC Sierra gives me faith that the US can build really good stuff. It is amazing as a tow horse and as comfortable as a caddy when not towing with 20mpg on the 5.3L [327].

The 240Z has gone from a driver to a track car and now heading back to a street/track car since my gofast ankle is no longer allowing me full track fun. It should be done in the spring [but that is what I said last year].

The 318isSC is MamaBear's commuter although she now telecommutes so it gets less driving time than it used to. Also the toy on the back of the Sierra is my bet for her new daily driver [picked up this past weekend].

Aside from the 560, I have:
1987 RX7 (Excellent car: Reliable, easy to work on and fun to drive)
1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager (A piece of crap: Have ever tried to do a simple tune up on this piece of shit? I hate even changing the oil on this van. It's spacious and that's about all it's good for)

Love the caddies! Damn cadillacs used to have style! Love what you have done to the '91. A very good car buddy of mine put a 500 cu in in his mint '80 Fleetwood. Here is a link to his auto page....

Sorry I don't conform to your narrow view of the world. You must be used to this I presume.

I will put up some pics maybe tomorrow. The car is great, cheap to maintain and had no major problems. The biggest issuse I had was the heatcore hose bursting and then finding out that the heatcore itself was busted too. I had to remove the whole dashboard and the logicon (a day worth of work) to get to it. Fortunatly this allowed me to resolder some connector and replace some transistors in the logicon while it was out. I rewired the harness and took care of some factory issues with the electrical grimlins they did not pay attention to.
The engine is original and still runs strong at 160K. I have an O ring and other kits to rebuild the engine in case it does what typical rotaries do.
The interior is moded with MOMO seats, steering and shift. The engine is stock but I am thinking if it is going to go south within the next 50K I may as well put a supercharger in and accelerate the process while I enjoy the fun. Again rebuilding this engine is a snap and can be done on a kitchen table
Suspension is Koning and Eibach. Audio was an Alpine but I took that out because I am looking at a system that will be invisible and operated with a remote.
I had a choice between this and a Ferrari 308 but I prefer this just in case I make a booboo. The 308 when it was presented to me was $19K at that time and was in poor condition. A friend of mine ended up buying it, fixing it at a cost of 20K and sold it for 30K. I feel better about my choice!
