I ride with my wife for motivation and I enjoy the view so please don't come and spoil our ride because you think you own the dam road.
Would you ride your bike through an intersection when your light was green with a semi running a red light into your side because you have "right of way"?

Of course not.

Don't get mad at drivers if you decide to split a lane with them. Lobby local government for safe biking routes. All it takes is one distracted minivan driver and you are dead.

I am lucky. Where I live we have lots of paved bike trails and a good system of bike lanes...plus mountain bike single track all over the place.

If you are serious about riding or just like gadgets...check this out:

motionbased.com

You upload info recorded by a GPS/heart monitor while you run/ride/walk.

It is pretty cool.

I have been biking all my life and I am still alive thank you!
I had close calls with idots that cut me off, shifted to my side, came in head on and yes I had a big pickup truck with "we support Bush" and many ribbons and flags chase me off the road because he felt that it was his God duty to do so. That's what he told the cops as he was being cuffed and hauled away. I am not kidding, this happened. I droped charges afterword because he was having problems at our local jail after he got ass raped. I felt sorry for him.
I swear I had nothing to do with what happened to him.

Don't flatter yourself. Your entitlement to the road does not come vis-a-vis payment of taxes. You're thinking of tollways, which I'm pretty sure don't allow bicyclists.

You're MORE THAN WELCOME to bike on the road if you can obey ALL of the RULES of the road. That means maintaining a safe speed (a.k.a the basic speed rule), being able to stop fast enough, accelerate fast enough, make quick adjustments to your course to avoid sudden obstacles (like squirrels or lumber falling off the back of a truck), etc., and otherwise not be a fucking menace to people who have someplace to GO that REQUIRES them to drive on a road.

There are lots of places all over the country designated specifically for bicyclists that disallow motorized vehicles of any kind. Go there until you can pedal your ass at 45 miles an hour. At the VERY LEAST, if you want to take a 'morning constitutional' on your bike, make sure you're off the road BEFORE RUSH HOUR STARTS.

WAKE UP SLEEPY HEAD you're dreaming!

You're going to sue me if YOU swerve into MY lane and you get hurt? Good luck, because YOU would be at fault.

Read my post again if you can comprehend it (doubtful).

As far as any threat goes... Did you know that YOU can be sued for that remark you made to me? I've saved your post as a screen shot.

Make another threat to me...

When there is a bike lane, I see most of these morons riding two abreast. Is this hobby really worth the risk of dying?

If one of these suicidal bike riders swerves even slightly into the path of MY car and I hit them? I won't feel bad. They knew the risks and took those risks anyway.

Comments?

Pathetic, simply pathetic.
A group of 4-yr olds in my daughter's classroom know how to share their toys and here you are demonstrating difficulty in sharing something as simple as the road.

Hey but he knows how to do a screen capture. You got to hand him some bonus points for skills. I left my sticker book at school.
