If she hadn't gotten pregnant then this tragedy would not have taken place.

Seems logical to me...
Or, we could stop all the bs abstinence teaching in schools and start making birth control free and easily available. Sure beats the hell out of paying for a mother and a bunch of kids and a job training program (for a job that wouldn't allow the mother to pay her rent, anyway.....). It would also help to find a way to make people understand that their personal worth is not necessarily defined by pumping out children.

If the plan is to live on welfare, that is the definition of personal worth.

This is utopian nonsense.

I have been working with the underclass in the ER for 2 decades.

In that culture having a child out of wedlock is considered a badge of honor.

Sure, some want birth control after the 6th kid but you're delusional if you think that free birth control is going to tame this epidemic of out-of-wedlock births which now constitute 70% - 80% of black babies born in America.

If anything it's the liberal's welfare system that encourages irresponsible behavior as they feel that they can always let the taxpayer foot the consequences of their "hobby."

Sorry, but free and easily obtainable birth control would work much better than 'Don't have sex!'.

And, it is this 'badge of honor' culture which needs to change, hence my saying it's time to let these women know there is something better for them than having a litter of children.

Well I'm not opposed to free birth control.

They can put the stuff in the drinking water if they like, that's fine with me.

It's not a question of birth control. These mothers aren't having these babies by accident. Remember - more children = more Welfare money and food stamps. It's all about the money! Instead of working at a job, they collect money for being baby factories at taxpayers expense ( oops, at OUR EXPENSE ).

Bingo!. Exactly what I was going to say but you beat me to it. I see it all the time, the more kids they have the more they are given. A couple of years ago I owned a 28 unit apartment building. Well I had 3 units occupied by section 8 tenants (I knew better but thats another story). Anyway I noticed that one of them in particular had a kid right after I bought the complex then almost immediately afterwards got pregnant again. I stay out of it since I dont like to fraternize more than I have to with the tenants. Fast forward 1 year or so and she's pregnant again. Now, the girl was no more than 21 at this point and I observed there was no father around (I later found out one of the ex tenants had fathered kid #3). So anyhow she comes up to me all happy and I say something along the lines of "oh pregnant again eh? congrats", she says "yeah but more importantly section 8 will now be gettin me a 3 bedroom apartment now" and then she gleefully started singing "mo money, mo money, mo money", she was living in a 1 bedroom at the time and thank god I didn't have any 3 bedroom units available. When her lease expired she moved somewhere else.

This is just one example, I've seen many. They get bigger places and more money just for being irresponsible and guess who gets to flip the bill?.

Give him free fish without having to actually work for it and he will eat a lifetime on someone elses tab.
