I have a bit of a phobia about earwigs-bad experience when I was a toddler.

Anyway, the ones we have here look different to Bot's posted picture.BTW, if you don't like earwigs-don't grow dahlias.

Did you know the Berbers were descendants of Ham. That's why they serve Hamberbers at Berber King.

Coffee cake baker?.............Is that too regional?
Yes and Zidane is a Berber (Hametic) and so is St. Augustine.

It's a small Order as insects go but they are distributed world-wide. Given the reproductive rate and population distribution, I imagine that natural selection and genetic drift will have fostered lots of diversity. I know what you mean about the creepy creatures. Those claspers freaked me out when I was a kid.

But we got over it: We'd get them to latch onto our earlobes to freak-out the neighborhood girls. That was fun up until we turned 50, then the girls quit running as fast and tripped over each other's walkers. It was embarrassing having to help the brittle bitches to their feet with earwigs clasped to our lobes. I have a picture of Shane with earwigs adorning his private parts. he was proud of himself for withstanding the pain.

Now as the name would suggest, aren't these the critters that crawl into your ear canal and lodge themselves into your brain like that thing in Star Trek?
Armed with that info, you still hung them from your lobes? Crikey, you're a regular Earwig hunter!

It's just and old husband's tail, started by Commander Chekov to scare the living Putin out of his babushka.
