Let me guess. Now that the guy is gone, you want to get serious. What's that about? He was right there for a year, and you didn't want to discuss family...... Don't come at life sideways -- meet it straight on.

If that's the case, then how he feels about you doesn't sound as though it's terribly significant to him.

One thing I've learned about the LD relationship, if you give it time, it will prove itself for what it is, so the suggestion I'd toss your way is to simply let it ride, and don't try to force it or read more into it than it's been in the past. If he continues to bring up the money thing, you'll have your answer.

Last thought: it sounds as though you don't think he's "the guy" anyway, so why not put your efforts into seeing some other folks instead of worrying about his motives? You're leaving behind an old job, maybe it's time to leave behind the old boyfriend, too.

I totally think that taking it slow is the best bet with all of this. One question though, & you're a guy, how often should I keep in contact with him without seeming needy? I hate neediness! So I definitely don't want to come across like that.
Oh yah when you said he's trying to balance the reasons of why he should sustain an LD relationship, so does that mean he's waiting to see how much money I'll make or something?

about my vehicle profile, I'd just love to drive that car that's all lol but true..

Long distance relationships don't work when you're young. Too much jealousy comes into play. Maybe if your an old timer like GS.
Will you get the Long Distance Runaround? Yes.

Are you needy? Nothing wrong with being horny, that's why my wife took me in
Step on your pride and set it aside because it will ruin you by missing out on life. Why don't you try another guy like TK suggested? I think GS is a good choice and he can relieve you of some guilt if you pay up
You can always test your dude by telling him a lie like you lost everything beause the taxman sent your dad to jail or something then watch his reaction or the lack of it.
