The upcoming 9/11 mini series should be good....

If Bill Clinton is already throwing a hissy fit, how far off can it be?

From what I hear NOBODY comes out looking very good, so he won't be alone....

The only difference is that the Reps are not trying to get the film banned. Or demaning that the content be revised.

Only clinton, et al. want that to happen.

Whatever happened to artistic freedom?

Whatever happened to the 1st Amendment?

It must all be part of that vast right wing conspiracy spearheaded by the Jewish-controlled media.

They are claiming that the series is based on the 9-11 commission report, which it is not. That is what they are upset about. It is not accurate.

I didn't hear you guys sounding this battle cry when the Reagan film starring James Broland got pulled because all the Repubs cried about how unfair it was. Why are you screaming about it now? Another example of situational ethics by the Repubs. Just like that last thread about the ACLU judge. I see hypocrisy.

How could it be accurate? IMO a mini series about 9/11 is a disgrace. I claim my amendment rights, and not watch it.

One movie set out to trash the life and career of what can be considered the greatest President of our last half-century. The other is a story about the attacks of 9/11 that happen to involve the previous and current Presidents.

If that's the case then it is an awful lot like the Report. Nobody came out of the report as particularly clever. But that's the benefit of hindsight, isn't it? It's easy as hell to connect the dots now and so we find it easy to criticize Clinton for his failure to go whole-hog after Al Qaeda.

But a bit of concentrated scanning of memory will reveal that the Repos were all over his ass everytime he went after them. Of course, it didn't help his argument that the timing of his attacks coincided with domestic political events, nor did it help that he took the safe route: Lobbing missiles. However, even if he had intended a full assault on Al Qaeda, the Repos would have stopped him, IMO.

Just because you have clipart doesn't make it so. An alternatively minded individual from yourself could say "One movie set out to trash the life and career of what can be considered the greatest President of our last half-century. The other is a story of a 2 term president that suffered from alzheimer's." and it would be just as true. Hypocrisy

Look I haven't seen either movie, but I think any skewed portrayal of history that is passed off as anything but is objectionable.

OK...repeat after me...it is a movie...it is a movie...it is a TV movie.

If they are worried about accuracy, let them come up with their rebuttal.

Again, repeat after me...it is a movie..it is a movie...it is JUST a TV movie.

(BTW, they even post disclaimers at the beginning of the movie, just in case some miss it).
