In the two months I've been on this forum, whatever other shortcomings it might have had, it's been refreshingly free of this type of pettiness.
I don't think that anybody composes their posts and thoroughly checks them as if they are handing in a homework assignment. The free exchange of ideas is encouraged by cutting people a little slack in an informal environment such as this.
I've seen literally hundreds of mistakes of this kind (and many others) and brush it off as not being material to what the author has to say. If you have nothing to add to the substance
of a discussion you always have the option of just zipping it. Don't feel obligated to impress us with your skills in picking out grammatical errors.
It's been my observation that people who nitpick on spelling, punctuation and grammar do so because they have lost the argument and have, essentially, nothing of substance to say.
But, then again, we already knew
