Yea though I dwell in the Valley of the Shadow of Death

Keep your eye on Ernesto, it is following the track that usually results in massive hurricanes, tracking right through the ocean gap between the Yucatan and Cuba as it enters the Gulf. It is predicted to be a Cat 2 hurricane before it enters the gulf. Get ready, this one is going to be a biggie.

Not sure where you live but here we don't talk about such things. Almost halfway through 'cane season - we've got our fingers crossed.

We fear no evil but 'canes are another matter.

Hey--I was just thinking how odd it is we haven't had a hurricane yet.

I slept through a hurricane while on vacay in Florida a few years ago. Can't remember the name of the hurricane, but it ripped the roof off the house we were staying in. Woke up to complete chaos--don't remember a thing about it.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.

We did have a little something come through at the start of the season.

The Atlantic is not as warm as expected and the shearing winds have been helpful.

We pay attention but don't talk about it.

You're a very heavy sleeper, btw.

My family and I have lived on the US Gulf coast for 35 years and have been through at least that many hurricanes and tropical storms. Over the years we’ve developed the following evacuation plan when a hurricane nears:

GTFA.
