I do read/go to Al Jexeera and Al-Arabia sometimes and NYT and LA Times are on my list. You can't learn what is going on unless you understand both sides of the issues.

During the Cold War, the best [funniest] listening was Radio Tariana Albania which was the Rev Phelps of Communist Radio.

Not multiple brains, just a bad case of insomnia and no more than 5 hours of sleep a day which gives plenty of time for reading and aggragating info. I send out about 45 emails to friends every morning for their updates of what happened the night prior that they won't see on general reading of CNN or Fox.

Lately however we have been having a daily traffic fatality here in Lex that has been messing with my head and I have been reading less. Too much street racing with kids and Porsches or Bimmers or street bikes. 10 deaths in the past three weeks. Last night a Bimmer got airborne and took out a 18" branch of a ash tree 10' up the tree. The tree was three feet wide. Blew the car apart. Another police chase tonight with the same results with a sport bike.

Hey, I listened to and enjoyed "Baghdad Bob's" comments just as much as the next guy:

"We butchered the force present at the airport. We have retaken the airport! There are no Americans there!"

"They are not near Baghdad. Don't believe them.... They said they entered with... tanks in the middle of the capital. They claim that they - I tell you, I... that this speech is too far from the reality. It is a part of this sickness of their plan. There is no an... - no any existence to the American troops or for the troops in Baghdad at all."

"Whenever we attack, they retreat. When we pound them with missiles and heavy artillery, they retreat even deeper. But when we stopped pounding, they pushed to the airport for propaganda purposes."

"The Americans are not there. They're not in Baghdad. There are no troops there. Never. They're not at all."

"There is no presence of American infidels in the city of Baghdad."

"We blocked them inside the city. Their rear is blocked.... They pushed a few of their armored carriers and some tanks with their soldiers. We besieged them and I think we will finish them soon."

Compilation courtesy of http://www.cfif.org/htdocs/freedomli...aghdad_bob.htm

To his credit he did appear to make one correct prediction:

"This invasion will end in failure."

Would it be too much 'aggr'a' to add me to your 'e'mail list?

Goes back a bit further than that. The oldest known Brewery was recently excavated in Syria. Weihenstephaner (it's a mouthful) from The Bavarian State brewery was founded in 1,040. Good Pilsner.

Pilsner? The Bohemian style wasn't developed until centuries later surely?

You are right. 1,040 is the date the brewery was founded. A pilsner is only one of the beer they brew. Favorite pilsners are the original Budweiser and Pilsener Urquell, both from Bohemia. Love the stuff.

Women will never tell a man what they really want, but will reserve the right to get mad if they don't get it.
