I posted a piece about this guy several weeks ago when I did a thing on "Christian Zionists." Personally I welcome his support of Israel.

Nevertheless there is a difference between him and Ahmadinejad in that the latter actually has the power to make his death wish a reality....

Well that is also a matter of debate among international experts on the level of progress or ability of Iran to even make a nuclear bomb. Currently, the IAEA as early as Jan 2006, stated they saw no effort by Iran to do so. Also the last information I read from the IAEA was that Iran only had something like 145 centrifuges which is hardly enough to make a nuclear bomb which would require 1000 to produce one, and over 3000 to mass produce them according to the IAEA.

If you should be concerned about ANYTHING it should be pakistan who is SELLING there technology, who HAS nuclear weapons already, who SUPPORTS known terrorist groups with links to Al-Qaeda, who HAVE hidden camps they wont let us in to inspect, who REFUSE to let us speak with khan who is known to have sold nuclear technology to Iran, North Korea, etc. I find this whole Iran/Pakistan thing VERY hypocritical.

I think you give him more credit than you should to do much of anything like that. He could cause trouble--more than he already does--but I don't see anyone in Iran as capable of starting anything that could lead to "the end of the world." But should they try, I think we have an answer...

REF the poster above: We really need to go down that road right now like a hole in the head. Seems we should be required to win one of the current battles first before going after number three.

Unless he is got his finger on the trigger, in a manner of speaking, I am not too worried abou thim.

On the other hand, the two whack jobs in Iran and in North Korea DO have their fingers on the trigger (and perhaps elsewhere as well).

BB is exactly right, these guys preach doom and gloom because it helps bring in the faithful and their dollars. But they are nothing but rank amateurs when compared to the real dangerous guys.

I always thought that Russia and China were too smart to use nuclear weapons...but these other guys don't have the same mindset.

Well, its Aug 23 in Iran now, so you can get some sleep now. Good night, Hal, don't let the Armageddon slap you on the ass on the way out.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

What concerns me is this guys political connections in the Republican Party, and having the ear of the president. Who we both know doesnt need much encouragement to start a war. While hagee may not have his finger on the trigger, he is influential in the White House from what I hear, and I doubt it would be hard to make a case that his guy has alot more clout than your giving him credit for.
