Those who hear the Word of God but do not submit to God's message of peace actually poison the faithful with lies. The only recourse is to remove those tools of Satan as humanely as possible.

In a democracy that values diversity and freedom of (and from) religion it is very difficult to introduce the idea that these very characteristics are the ones that the Islamists hate the most and are the foundation of their hate for western democracy.

So we call it a W.O.T. to give us cover for a secular vs religious war with islam.

I skimmed this and thought you were talking about Christian fundamentalists at first.

Also, I have been on the tech side of the forum a bit too much. I saw WOT and assumed Wide Open Throttle!! That would be my kind of religion.

Well at least they wont starve to death or be bored.

Seriously though, you may be right, but do you not at least find that a little bit disturbing? I have no problem with Israel, as a country. However, I don't think we should be treated like the Welfare Office either. Yes, they are an ally, but they are more than well off, and the loan forgiveness, grants, and other free stuff should end now IMO.

See what happens when you act polite?!?

Bot I've never had a problem with Israel as a country which I have stated many times before, however I don't agree with them occupying parts of Palestine. I think they would do better to resolve the disputed areas in the West Bank, Golan Heights, and stop the military occupation. I have always said I believe Israel has a right to exist and defend itself. I just don't agree with its excess use of force which violate international law. As for the money issues, I already covered that.

I thought about that sentence before submitting. That is why I added "actively". While most of the players were in place, and most were able to be tipped, I feel it has taken the past five year's worth of foreign policy and occupations to really roil up the terror component to its current state. I am not sure Syria would be in the state of aggression it is in if we were not in Iraq and we have [unintentionally] helped destabilize Pakistan with our Afghanistan battles. All of that together has made Iran a bigger player than it would be if we were not there so close to poke. I think when Bush drew the Axis of Evil line in the sand, and several states found that it had little bite, they pushed back to see how far they could go. Tomorrow may be an answer.

I'm always tickled when people refer to the West Bank and Gaza strip as "occupied territory".

Why were they never referred to in that way when they belonged to Jordan and Egypt respectively?
