It is actually interesting to see how weak the Clinton smokescreen is playing for you "conservatives" this time around. Normally any mention of Clinton is good for a barrage of HeeHaws and Guffaws that would go on and on, as you practically broke each other's backs slapping them so hard. This time it seems the idea that your spiritual leader may be facing some real challenges if he can't keep his cronies in Congress has subdued the response. It is still pretty ludicrous that you would try to use Clinton for a distraction, but it is clear there is a genuine concern that even you guys can't disguise with your old standby.
I am hoping for evidence America realizes now what a poor path this President and his "owned" Congress have taken, and boots them out of power. The House or the Senate would be fine, come this November, because once all three (including the executive branch) are not run by a single party, either for that matter, there is a real capability to implement the checks and balances that are intended by the architects of our government. With the House or the Senate, or both in the hands of the opposition there is a chance we can depose the self appointed king by forcing him to abide by laws of the land, or, if he insists, by impeaching.
Face it, Bush is a terrible President who has surrounded himself with poor administrators and advisors. He loses his job in a few years anyway. At this point, just preventing him from doing more damage and staying focused on getting America back should be the higher priority than delving into a distracting impeachment process. But he deserves to be impeached. Jim
