Jimsmith, I find your post to be hilarious. I find your apparentlack of a ense of humor even funnier.
Even a cursory look at US history will show that every Preisdent has, at some point or the other, been widely ridiculed, criticized, attacked, etc.
Even Abraham Lincoln (you know, the guy on the pennies) who is by almost every account one of the greatest Presidents in U.S. history, was not spared the slings and arrows of public criticism. At almost every point in his presidency, good old Abe was called a dictator, a usurper, a mental midget, an ignorant, uneducated fool, etc.
Lincoln suffered the ultimate "impeachment"--getting shot on the back of the head while watching a play with his wife. (Guys let this be a warning the next time your wives want to drag you to see a "show.")
Even after his death, there were those who continued to criticize Abe's job performance. It was not until many years later, when the full scope of his work was understood and we came to realize how close the Union came to being rendered apart, that we understood Abe's genius.
Incidentally, Lincoln's Cabinet and political appointments did not escape criticism either.
History will be the ultimate judge of GW's performance as it was the judge of Abe's performance.
In the meantime, however, if you are so pissed off run for office. Let's see how well you would do as President.
It is easy to criticize...not so easy to do.
