No one is denying that the photos have been doctored before you go and accuse me of supporting that too. I am just stating this before you go on swinging again. That said, Azziz is making a point based on his experience. An experience that we should feel privileged to be privy to. Let's not spoil that opportunity by accusing him of siding terrorists because he clearly is not doing that.
Our support for Azziz is in no way a siding to the “Arab Cause” or some other label. He is a BW member that happens to live there and has shown great patience in enduring personal attacks and misrepresentations of his views in the midst of living in hell right now. Have some respect.
As I have said before, I can't imagine what Silver Arrow (Azziz) is living through right now.

Clearly, we are far removed from the reality he is facing every minute.

If Azziz can shed light on what some of us find perplexing about the whole situation...like 'Why in the hell do the people of Lebanon tolerate an army within their country that is not subject to the civilian authority?" That would be interesting.

I can tell you that Hezbollah existed because of Israel. When Israel occupied Lebanon to kick the PLO there was no "Lebanese Army". Lebanon was in a civil war and Hezbollah backed by Iran representing the Shiite became the only player that could face Israel in resisting its occupation. You can think of them as the group that Lebanon had to rely on to do that job but that group expanded its services beyond warfare. They got involved in many strategic institutions such as schools hospitals; well you can think of them as the Mafia diversifying their holdings and reach. Lebanon's army was never really given a chance to arm, train or has any authority especially in the south where Hezbollah roamed with the blessing of the people that saw them as saviors. That's the short of it without going into more details, does that help.

A dead civilian is as much of a weapon for Hezbollah as a Katusha missile.

When the men of Lebanon realize who needs to be hunted down and killed in order to protect the women and children of Lebanon then things will change.
Sometimes the residents don’t really have a choice, for they aren’t armed. Besides, there are many in Lebanon, especially the Shiite community, support Hezbollah’s right to hold arms as long as Israel occupies Lebanese land and hold Lebanese POWs.

Now how would YOU stop an armed group from operating in your neighborhood? If the Cripts or Bloods moved into your community, how would you stop them? How about the Outlaws MC? Would you have the balls to stop them? How about the Arian Nati...OK bad example.

You and I do not live in Lebanon. We have NEVER had to make the kind of choices those folks make on a daily basis. We have no empathetic understanding of a group that intertwines their beliefs like Hezbollah or the rest of Lebanon’s people. To suggest that their decisions make them a pathetic excuse for a human being is as arrogant as it is wrong headed.

I've actually been feeling that way for about 6 years now.

The men in my neighborhood would kill them.

We support and excercise our right to bear arms.

There is a very good reason why the crips and the bloods don't dare set up shop in certain areas. It is because the residents don't tolerate it. We don't tolerate it.
We make that choice EVERY DAY.

Protecting my wife and children from harm is the most basic of instincts. Do I have the balls to put a .308 round in someone threatening my family? You must be joking.

There are neighborhoods in the US where they "intertwine their beliefs" with the crips and the bloods. They suffer the consequences.

By the way, your "Arian (sic) Nation" comment makes the rest of the children on this forum giggle with glee I am sure. I am simply puzzled by the thought process that leaps to the idea that I am some kind of racist neanderthal because I disagree with you.

What puzzles me is how you can extend the analogy of protecting your family to Israel bombing indicriminately and killing innocents. I'm not excusing anyone else, obviously Israel is not alone in this, just the dominant player.

If Hezbollah was cleaned out of the area there would be no bombing.

If I provide shelter to gangsters and the police burn my house down during a raid...I am to blame.

What is puzzling about that?
